This site is all about fishing. I created it to post fishing reports to share with friends and family. Anyone can join. There is no cost. Once you join and are approved by an Administrator (me), you’ll be able to make posts. Posts should be relative to fishing and generally will be fishing reports. Initially your posts will have to be approved to be seen on the site but after you make a few which are valid, I’ll enable your entries to go public immediately. This site is for posting reports and not photo’s. If you wish to post photo’s, you’ll need to join my other site, which is free too. Here’s some more details about this site..
To the right on the sidebar you’ll see several “sections”.
SEARCH BAR (to the right and up a little): Use this search tool to find anything on the site. It’s ideal for searching old posts (reports) and why using good “tags” when making a post (report) will help in the future if you wish to find a particular post.
CALENDAR: The calendar will have links on the days when a post is made. Use it to click on a specific day you know a post was made you wish to find.
NEW POSTS: New reports will be listed here with the newest posted first. Use this to quickly access anything new you wish to read.
FISHING LINKS: Links to fishing related sites.
ARCHIVES: Monthly/Yearly storage of all posts that are made. Click a specific month if you wish to access an old report but are unsure exactly when it posted.
Why two sites?
I created two sites for several reasons. The big reason is that combining fish images and fishing reports on one site isn’t easy. A site that does both well will have to be inherently complicated and have too many restrictions/guidelines. Having separate sites enables the user to have the best of both worlds. If you only want to post images for quick reference on line, you are welcome to join Fish Foto and use it without joining this site. As you can see, the albums on Fish Foto can have text added, as well as comments, so it’s more than just a place to store pictures. But if you wish to take it a step further and post a fishing report to go with your fish foto, join this site too. Once you’ve uploaded a fish foto it’s easy to link the album to a report on this site. The following video shows how to do it using one of your uploaded images directly from Fish Foto. Doing it this way will As you’ll see, the two sites work hand in hand together and make for a more complete user experience.
